Interaction Designer

Capgemini Sweden

  • Period: January 2008 - April 2011
  • Job type: Full-Time

I worked with some of Sweden's largest companies with the mission to create pleasurable user experiences while meeting business needs. To solve this, I worked closely with both business and IT and of course the users, through everything from user research and competitive analysis to sketches, simulations and prototypes to user testing and development.

To get all stakeholders to pull in the same direction I am confident that communicating with images is the most successful way forward - therefore I spend a lot of my time with scenario descriptions, whiteboards, paper sketches and simulations before detailed requirement analysis and development work begins.

At Capgemini, we worked according to the Rapid Design and Visualization (RDV) methodology, which in short means a strong focus on interactive simulations of the upcoming solution and constantly iterating designs with business stakeholders, techies and end-users. The methodology is applicable for websites as well as mobile apps and any other digital solution.

Other than my project deliveries I was also active in other engagements, such as

  • Core team leader for the Swedish Usability and Design competence network;
  • Local trainee project manager;
  • B-level consultant mentor;
  • Master thesis supervisor;
  • Blogger at the Capgemini Business Technology blog.
