I'm a problem solving interaction designer with my roots in web development and communication science.
I am a 32 years old interaction designer with a passion for design, internet, games and basically all types of digital media. I love creating digital solutions with the right balance between the businesses' and users' needs within the technical boundaries.
I began my career as a web developer, specializing on the Java platform, but have since a few years reduced the amount of coding and focused more on my shaping experiences for people by creating solutions that make them feel comfortable while helping businesses solve their problems.
With my roots in web development and my passion for digital media in general I use my technical skills to create solutions that are enjoyable for people to experience.
I am experienced in leading workshops and holding presentations. I have a broad social skill set and I love working together with other talented people.
Interaction design in agile environments.
I travelled the world for six months and during this time i started a couple of personal projects within mobile app design and web development. Back in Sweden I was combining my personal projects with traditional consulting.
I worked with some of Sweden's largest companies with the mission to create pleasurable user experiences while meeting business needs. To solve this, I worked closely with both business and IT and of course the users, through everything from user research and competitive analysis to sketches, simulations and prototypes to user testing and development.
To get all stakeholders to pull in the same direction I am confident that communicating with images is the most successful way forward - therefore I spend a lot of my time with scenario descriptions, whiteboards, paper sketches and simulations before detailed requirement analysis and development work begins.
At Capgemini, we worked according to the Rapid Design and Visualization (RDV) methodology, which in short means a strong focus on interactive simulations of the upcoming solution and constantly iterating designs with business stakeholders, techies and end-users. The methodology is applicable for websites as well as mobile apps and any other digital solution.
Other than my project deliveries I was also active in other engagements, such as
For an internal, web-based application, I was responsible for interaction design, usability and front-end development. I was also responsible for 3rd line support of the application. Technically, this meant developing in particular J2EE, Struts, HTML, CSS and Ajax.
The system is used for secure data communication of particularly CAD models from Volvo - both Volvo Group and Volvo Car Corporation - and their suppliers. The system also handles conversions between CAD formats.
During my studies and a few years afterwards I ran my own business, helping smaller clients with web development, systems development and graphic design.
As a part of the supplier enabler team I assisted suppliers of Volvo Car Corporation in creating company structures in Volvo's supplier database and introduce them to eVerest, Ford Motor Company's web based purchasing system, which included guiding them through the registration process.
Covered studies in graphic design, communication science, web design and multimedia. The studies lasted three semesters. After this, I chose to study informatics as a major, a subject that involved a lot of programming, systems development and systems engineering.
